Maison Atelier

In 1969, on the beaches of Saint-Tropez, André Gas, a young artist from Marseille and a graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts, laid the foundation for a unique studio-home. His first handmade pieces of jewelry—charms inspired by the Mediterranean light—immediately captivated the women of the Riviera.
A Maison was born.

It is in the hills above Marseille the House has found its permanent home. In this historic workshop overlooking the Mediterranean, 70 artisan-designers bring each creation to life—cutting, assembling, polishing, hammering, and hand-enameling. Design and production coexist under one roof, ensuring the highest standards for every piece.

A Family Story

Perhaps André Gas’s greatest achievement was his ability to pass on his energy, passion, and curiosity to his children, who joined him in the early 2000s.

Olivier Gas, CEO, blends heritage with international expansion. True to the spirit of excellence that defines Gas Bijoux, he forges a unique relationship with each retail location—a network of over 500 partners in nearly 50 countries.

Marie Gas, Artistic Director, takes on the ongoing challenge of combining innovation with tradition. From jewelry design to boutique displays and brand image, her intimate and delicate vision permeates the entire Gas Bijoux universe. She infuses the workshop with a passion for color, ideas for shapes, and unexpected combinations of materials, paving the way for the House’s future.

Transmission & Innovation

Since 1969, artisanal craftsmanship has been at the heart of every Gas Bijoux creation. In 2011, the French government recognized this by awarding the brand the "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant" label, the highest distinction for craftsmanship .

In the Marseille workshop, ten specialized crafts coexist: goldsmiths, enamellers, gem setters, feather workers, engravers, polishers... A single hoop earring requires thirteen steps. Gas Bijoux limited editions: once the materials are exhausted, the series ends. It is this commitment to excellence that makes all the difference.

This craftsmanship passed down and reinvented with each collection. Like Amarante born from an earring from the 1980s, reinterpreted after two years of development and twenty prototypes—each creation is a living act of transmission, bridging heritage and light.

Every piece that leaves our workshop carries with it the legacy of a living craft.
